    One of our friendly, experienced experts will discuss all of your requirements in thorough detail and will draw upon their years of experience to offer their best ideas for your home extension project.
  • Plans Drawn

    Step 3: Plans Drawn

    At this point, if you have not got any architectural drawings, this is when we can arrange for one of our trusted architects to come and carry out a detailed survey in order to design your extension to your own requirements.
  • Quotation and Contracts Prepared

    Step 4: Quotation and Contracts Prepared

    Your detailed quotation will be with you within just 24 hours. On acceptance of the quote, contracts will be drawn up, along with all other necessary paperwork.
  • Site Survey

    Step 5: Site Survey

    Your project manager will organise every aspect of the job, including coming to the site to take detailed measurements for the extension project. He will discuss with you all the finer points associated with your job.
  • Commencement Building Inspection

    Step 6: Commencement Building Inspection

    We will ensure all relevant paperwork is filled out and we will handle all dealings with your local authority, as well as attending all inspections as required.
  • Site Set-up

    Step 7: Site Set-up

    The site is now set up. Visqueen is rolled out and plywood boards are laid down to ensure no damage is done to your drive, garden path and lawn. The portable toilet is delivered. Any necessary plant, such as the mini digger, arrives now.
  • Excavate Foundations & Lay Drains

    Step 8: Excavate Foundations & Lay Drains

    We will dig the footings and reduce the slab to the required depth. We will lay the necessary drains as per the drawings. The footings and the drains will then be passed by building control. Once the building inspector has passed this section of the work the concrete will be ready to be poured.
  • Build Brickwork Shell

    Step 9: Build Brickwork Shell

    Using matching brick/stone, one of our teams of experienced, time-served bricklayers will now construct the brickwork shell. At this point, the inner leaf will be built from breeze block and the cavities insulated as we move forward.
  • Measurements Taken For Windows & Doors & Designs Chosen

    Step 10: Measurements Taken For Windows & Doors & Designs Chosen

    Your project manager will take fully accurate measurements for your windows and doors. He will take you through all the available design options in order that your windows and doors perfectly compliment your existing property.
  • Roof Construction

    Step 11: Roof Construction

    Our specialist roofing joiners will construct your roof to the specification on your drawings. Once this is all passed by building control, we will send in our roofers to felt, batten and tile/slate the roof as per your plans. We are now at an excellent point in the build to begin the internal work on your extension, as the build is now fully water tight and protected from the elements.
  • First-Fix Electrics & Plumbing

    Step 12: First-Fix Electrics & Plumbing

    It is now time for our electricians and plumbers to step in and first-fix all the electrical wires and pipes, so that they are all snugly concealed behind the newly plaster-boarded walls.
  • Fitting of Windows and Doors

    Step 13: Fitting of Windows and Doors

    Our specialist FENSA-registered team will arrive now with your new windows and doors to fit them. Your extension is now perfectly secure.
  • Structural Work

    Step 14: Structural Work

    We will complete any structural breakthroughs as per the plans at this stage, include the installation of reinforced load-bearing RSJ’s (Rolled Steel Joists). These will support the load of the floor above.
  • Plasterboarding and Skimming

    Step 15: Plasterboarding and Skimming

    Our plasterers will come to plasterboard the full extension at this stage and then plaster/skim the walls and ceilings so that it is beautifully smooth. The RSJ’s will be fire-boarded with a pink plasterboard to ensure a 1-hour firecheck protection, which will comply with building regulations.
  • Plumbing and electrics 2nd fix

    Step 16: Plumbing and electrics 2nd fix

    It is now time for the electricians and plumbers to return and fit the radiators and power points etc.
  • Finishing joinery

    Step 17: Finishing joinery

    It is now time for the joiners to come back and fit the skirting boards, architraves, doors, flooring, window boards etc.
  • Decorating

    Step 18: Decorating

    Your new home extension is now at a point where we can decorate it to your colour scheme, or we can leave this for you to do if you choose.
  • Building Control

    Step 19: Building Control

    We will now get the building inspector back, who would have been to-site several times by this point. He will inspect and pass off your job and the local council will send out your completion certificate.
  • Completion Walkthrough

    Step 20: Completion Walkthrough

    Your project manager will walk around your new extension with you to make sure you are 100% satisfied.
  • After-sale Service

    Step 21: After-sale Service

    We will issue you with your 10-Year Certificate Guarantee, and if you need to speak with us or need anything addressing in the future, we are never more than a phone call away.
